Project reference 43371

Golf Course — Workflow Illustration

Describe the application, material route, growing or working area and proposed rental period. A listed scenario is not a claim that a Dugong rental unit or local service is available.

This reference assembles relevant extracts from the guide library. It is general project planning, not a local project report, verified specification or translated technical publication.

Golf Course Earthworks

Golf-course earthworks form designed contours and feature-specific surfaces. Smoothing away a deliberate mound or swale can defeat the course design.

Before moving material

Set out the intended feature and identify rootzone and drainage layers.

Receiving operation and checks

Complete the relevant drainage and turf preparation operations. Compare the finished shape with the feature design rather than a generic plane.

Greens, tees, fairways and paths need different acceptance criteria.

Golf Courses

Golf earthworks vary between tees, fairways, greens and paths. A scraper can help place and shape suitable material, but the finished profile and growing medium depend on the golf-course design.

Before moving material

Identify which course feature is being built and its material specification.

Receiving operation and checks

Hand over to drainage, rootzone preparation or turf establishment as scheduled. Check feature levels and material interfaces before covering them.

Do not assume a general grading tolerance or turf mixture applies to greens.

Excavator to Grading Workflow

An excavator can open ground, remove unsuitable material and work below surrounding level. The grading handover begins when accessible material and formation are ready for controlled redistribution.

Before moving material

Agree excavation limits and the formation reference.

Receiving operation and checks

Compact, survey or place the next layer as specified. Check trench edges, disturbed areas and remaining excavation defects.

A scraper is not a substitute for an excavator's digging or lifting functions.

Record the job inputs

Use this checklist to turn the scenario into a specific brief. Retain the design revision and agree who accepts each completed layer.

Checklist ticks apply only while this page is open. Include the completed brief in your project records.
