Project reference 13438

Council Works Team — Machine Handover

Describe the application, material route, growing or working area and proposed rental period. A listed scenario is not a claim that a Dugong rental unit or local service is available.

This reference assembles relevant extracts from the guide library. It is general project planning, not a local project report, verified specification or translated technical publication.

Councils & Public Works

Council and public works briefs should state the asset outcome, scope boundaries and evidence needed for acceptance. Naming a machine too early can obscure whether the work requires design, bulk excavation or surface correction.

Before moving material

Identify the asset owner, procurement brief and work-zone controls.

Receiving operation and checks

Record the verified result and any work outside the contractor's scope. Check that the completed work answers the brief rather than a machine-based promise.

No council endorsement, supplier approval or procurement status is implied.

How the Dugong Works

The Dugong workflow separates material collection from its final placement. Once suitable material is loaded, it can be carried to the receiving area and then graded into the required surface.

Before moving material

Identify cut limits, usable material and the receiving level.

Receiving operation and checks

Check the surface and perform the required compaction or crop preparation. Compare source and receiving levels after movement.

Operating instructions for the supplied configuration take precedence over a general website explanation.

The Surface Is the Handover

The surface is the handover between operations. An excavator may finish its excavation, but the roller still needs suitable material, lift thickness and moisture. A scraper may finish shaping, but the irrigation operator still needs a connected fall to a usable outlet. Define acceptance at each transition instead of allowing the next machine to inherit an unresolved problem.

Before moving material

Name the operation that receives the surface and agree its requirements.

Receiving operation and checks

Release the area to the next operation only after outstanding defects are identified. Use independent level checks and project-specific material tests where required.

Visual smoothness alone does not prove compaction, bearing capacity or hydraulic performance.

Record the job inputs

Use this checklist to turn the scenario into a specific brief. Retain the design revision and agree who accepts each completed layer.

Checklist ticks apply only while this page is open. Include the completed brief in your project records.
